² The chief priests and the experts in the law were trying to find some way to put Jesus to death, because they were afraid of the people. ³ Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve. ⁴ He went away and spoke with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard about how he could betray Jesus to them.
